Lake Lanier offers a broad spectrum of activities for you to enjoy – whether you’re seeking fun, relaxation, or rest.
• Water Sports
An active afternoon of water skiing, wake surfing, wakeboarding, or tubing.
• Cruising & Sightseeing
Cruise past Buford Dam and some of Lake Lanier’s more than 100 islands, then tie up at LandShark Landing for lunch and Paradise Beach.
• Swimming & Sunbathing
Drop anchor for a refreshing swim and some sunbathing on the boat’s deck or inflatable rafts.
• Barbecuing & Picnicking
Pack a picnic to enjoy on the boat, or cook something up with an onboard grill.

A peaceful day spent angling for bass, catfish and panfish.
How does Nautical Boat Club – Lanier Islands work?
Members pay a one-time initiation fee and monthly dues for unlimited access to our fleet on Lake Lanier, with guaranteed reservations, white-glove service and complimentary watersports equipment. We handle the cleaning, maintenance, storage and insurance.
Which boats are in the Lanier Islands fleet?
Gold members boat on luxury tri-toons from Crest and Barletta and Cobalt sportboats. Platinum members get the full fleet, including AXIS wake surf boats.
How do I reserve a boat?
Members reserve online through our reservation portal, weeks ahead or the same day. Over 97% of reservation requests are fulfilled, and a confirmed reservation is guaranteed.
Do I need boating experience?
No. Training is unlimited and included at no extra cost. Our team provides a boat safety course and one-on-one instruction on the water, and stays with you until you feel fully confident.
Can I bring guests?
Yes. Bring as many guests as your reserved boat can safely carry, with no guest fees.
What are boating hours on Lake Lanier?
We boat year-round, Tuesday through Sunday, closed Mondays. Summer hours are 7 AM to 8 PM. Off-season hours are 8 AM to 5 PM.
