DTX Boat Show 2027: Dates and Location

If you’re boating in North Texas, start here: Nautical Boat Club Dallas, with clubs on Lake Grapevine, Lake Lewisville, and Lake Ray Hubbard.

The Discover Boating DTX Boat Show runs Thursday through Sunday, March 18–21, 2027, at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in downtown Dallas. It is a new show from the National Marine Manufacturers Association, the group behind the Discover Boating shows in Miami, Chicago, and Minneapolis. NMMA announcement

NMMA has leased 300,000 square feet of the convention center through 2029. Future dates are already set: March 16–19, 2028, and March 1–4, 2029. Daily hours and tickets have not been released yet.

Why Dallas, Why Now

Texas ranks third in the country for boating spending, with more than 625,000 registered boats. The Dallas–Fort Worth area accounts for about 179,000 of them. A national-scale show in March lands right before the season opens on our lakes.

Why We’re at the Show

A boat show is where the ownership math starts. Storage, insurance, maintenance, slip fees, cleaning, and depreciation add up long after the purchase price. A Nautical Boat Club membership is about one-third the cost of ownership, with none of the upkeep.

  • Three Dallas-area clubs — Grapevine, Little Elm, and Sapphire Bay — with reciprocal visits between them.
  • Wakeboard and surf boats, luxury tri-toons, and sport boats.
  • Reciprocal boating nationwide, including Austin, Houston, Nashville, Charleston, and Southwest Florida.
  • Full-service care — we handle cleaning, fueling, maintenance, and captain training.

What to Ask Us

Want the full breakdown? See how boat club membership works.

  • How reservations and weekend availability work in peak season.
  • A side-by-side cost comparison against the boat you’re considering.
  • A club tour at whichever lake is closest to you.

Tips for Attending

  • Check the official show site for hours and admission once NMMA posts them.
  • Bring a short list — surf, cruising, or fishing, how many guests, how often you’ll go — so comparisons are direct.
  • Walk the floor first, then compare what one boat costs against access to a full fleet.
